Hi guys,
I am so sorry I missed the blog post last week. I had the graphics done and everything and then just crashed. The new job is amazing but readapting to proper sleeping patterns (and waking up at 5h30 in the morning) is wreaking me. This week is better. I was so tired on Monday, I almost fell asleep on my way to work, and yesterday I was almost falling asleep while talking to the patients and no amount of water helped, talk about great customer service…
General update: I created a tiktok a couple of months ago. I haven’t posted anything yet, but I am loving it. I am getting some inspiration and hoping to post there soon, once I get the courage and just hit post.
Writing update: Unfortunately, it has been very slow. I am going to stop giving deadlines. I am making progress, today I finished the mystery part of Weatherboro mysteries book 2, but I still have a way to go with the rest of the book after I rearrange it. And don’t get me started on the other two books. So to help with my anxiety and stop giving false hope to people who might be waiting on book 2, I am just going to get the writing done and then we will see if I can give you a date or not.
I was able to write in Sam’s story today and I am reaching the first hot scene in the book and I can’t wait. This book is going in a completely different direction than I expected. I never meant to write an angsty story but apparently, Jack and Thibault needed that, at least at first. Sam, thought, not at all. I wrote something angsty for George but I think the rewrite will make it a lot sweeter.
As for Marcus, I have no clue, we will see how it goes. But as I write this, I just had an epiphany on the timeline that would make it work so much better and help me have a lot less to add to Jack and Thibault’s book so the events match. Pfiou.
Reading update: lots of books read two weeks ago, it has slowed down a little over the past few days, but I found some new ones to get into, so next week will be packed again, I am sure.
Hot as Heller (Aster Valley book 3) by Lucy Lennox: https://www.amazon.com//dp/B08ZJK3DB3
Loved it, it was fun, it was sweet, it had a few oooh moments.
Summons (Quirk of fate book 1) by Lisa Oliver: https://www.amazon.com//dp/B096RWR3S9
I love Lisa Oliver so you will see her name pop here quite often. This book was a lot of fun and one character just makes you want to shield him from life and then scream in joy when he finally stands up and people listen.
Pine ridge series by Jayda Max: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082SYS4SX
Very sweet and lovely books, with a little bit of external conflict, great after you read too many angsty books in a row
Claiming his purpose by Jena Wade and Lorelei M. Hart: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0931VCDY5
I am so in love with this series. It’s as good if not better as the one it is a spinoff of. I particularly enjoyed this one as we get two broken characters that won’t let life defeat them.
Beauty and the bro by Norah Belle: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B095X9MWQB
This was a wonderful debut book, I laughed, I wanted to shout at my book and I oohed. Really good.
Rookie mistake by Baylin Crow:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B097CLYLQ9
Sweet and hot, it was a great read.
After the crash by Emma Alcott (Audio): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082WCJX1F
A reread or rather re-listen for this one. I love it so much. I need to finish it again and then hope for a new book from Emma Alcott.
And that’s it for me for this week. Hope the end of June treats you well and you get to celebrate pride month on Saturday. I am working from 8 to 8 so I won’t be, you will have to do it for me.
