Hi guys,
Hope the week is treating you well. Here it’s going fine. We have some good summer weather and it’s hard to resist the sunshine, thought thanks to my pale skin, I am a bit of a vampire and I prefer to stay inside, I am tempted to put a toe out.
I am getting my first vaccine shot on Saturday and I am starting a new day job on Monday. The first will have no effect on my writing but the second might. I have started dictating, so we will see if I get the hang of it and go faster.
Writing update: I am at 44k in Weatherboro Mysteries book 2 and at 10179 in Sam’s story (or LV3). I wrote a lot more than this, but I decided to focus on the mystery part only and for that I had to review the scenes I already and cut some of them. It looks a lot cleaner now, I have to say and it’s progressing nicely. I am staying away from Marcus and Sam’s stories (but couldn’t resist writing some of Sam last Friday) as I am afraid to get sucked in them and not continue with Jack and Thibault, which is my main goal. I am almost done with the mystery part and then I am going to be all about the romance in all three books, new job permitting.
Reading update: A mix of audio and books this week. See the list below:
Jump up and dance around (Audiobooks 4 and 5 in the Assassin’s claws series) by Susi Hawke:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B094YV3XLR and https://www.amazon.com/Dance-Around-Assassins-Claws-Book/dp/B095JBP4BC
I really enjoyed this series and the audio is amazing. Zane Daniels really brings the characters to life, especially Gil. I loved it.
Bound to happen by Olivia Joy: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08ZR1BYCT
It was very sweet and hot. Two men discovering each other and their own kinks.
Smoke show and blowing up in smoke (the wilds book 1 and 2) by Ashton Kade:
I really enjoyed the first two books in this series. It is set in Alaska and all the characters are close to each other and connected in some way. I really enjoyed these romances and the ‘found’ family feeling. Couldn’t expect any less from Ashton Kade.
Broken Fangs by Skylar Sweeney: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08X36W9P4
This is a great book that I just finished yesterday. It was fun, with lots of lores and interesting changes in history, with a different take on werewolves and vampires. It has a few scenes that could be called dub-con, and talks of sensitive subjects, so be careful going in.
That’s it for me this week. Wishing you a wonderful Pride month and talk to you next week.
