Hi guys,
Time for our Wednesday update, which I am writing on Tuesday as I am working tomorrow :-)
The weather has been alternating between grey, rain and sunshine for the past week. But it is staying rather warm the whole time, so I don’t mind too much.
I had so many expectations for the past week. I was kind of off, with only working on Saturday afternoon. Well the excitement was so through the roof that it triggered my anxiety. I still did some of what I wanted to do, but not as much and the anxiety is still here. But after a good talk with the BF yesterday, I am feeling better. On the plus side, I read quite a bit yesterday, so yay.
Writing update: I made some progress in the more romantic scenes between Thibault and Jack. An then a scene popped out of nowhere, but it makes a lot of sense. I was so focused on Jack’s side being the investigation that I forgot about everything else that he might be thinking/going through. So I started writing that on Sunday and will write some more of it today. I am not sure where to put it thought. The book now stands at 57k and I still have about 10 scenes to write, so it probably won’t stop at 70k as I planned. Add all the things I will need to add during my rewrites, so yes, it might be a big one until my editor helps me narrow it down to what is actually necessary ;-)
I wrote some words in Sam and Emerson’s story as well. I am itching to only write this story as I love these two characters so much. But I am being good. I’ll have time to write Sam’s story when I let Jack and Thibault rest for a while.
Reading update: I read a great arc for a book that will come out in August, I’ll post the link then. Otherwise, ‘only’ two books, both read yesterday. Both by Sloane Kennedy, in ‘the four’ series. I loved the first book and I was very happy to dive into ‘foreseen: Lex’ and ‘forgiven: Con’. Here is the link to the series https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B086GJK3CK I can’t wait for book 4. I have the feeling it’s going to tear me apart and piece me back together in an even more delightfully excruciating way than the first three did (and the first one does that every time I reread it or listen to it).
That’s it for me for this week. Be safe and happy reading.
Ps: hit me with recs similar to the 'kings of men MC' books of a few weeks ago or similar to Sloane’s books, I am in that kind of mood.
