Thursday Cath up

Writer: CP Fraise authorCP Fraise author

Hi Guys,

I meant to post this yesterday but one thing led to another and it’s already Thursday. I hope that June is treating you well this month. We had some nice weather and now it is very warm but cloudy. I got my first vaccine on Saturday and started a new day job on Monday. I am working in shifts but it’s going well so far. I hope it won’t affect my writing and once I get a good sleep rhythm I should be golden.

Writing update: I am making great progress with the mystery part of Weatherboro Mysteries book 2. I am three scenes away from the end of that part. About 5k words. And then I’ll have to puzzle it all together and weave in about 20-30k words of the romance and Thibault’s side of the story. I am at 50k total after a great writing session yesterday. No progress on Sam or Marcus’s books as I want to finish Jack’s investigation first.

I have put a little excerpt of Jack and Thibault in my newsletter that goes out later today.

Reading update: A few books this week, not as many as usual, but just as good.

Sorcerers always satisfy (Hidden species book 4) by Louisa Masters: End of the series and absolutely magic (no pun intended). It was sweet, bittersweet and hot. I enjoyed it so much and I can’t wait for the spin-off series.

Peregrine (Forbidden desires spin-off book 4) by Piper Scott and Virginia Kelly: I was scared going in, I loved Peregrine and Sebastian in previous books and didn’t want to be disappointed. Ah, I am not sure why I was even scared, it was amazing. These true are the truest love you can read. My heart broke for them and they put a smile on my face. So good.

The alpha experiment and Lost and found (mismatched mates books 5 and 6) by Eliot Grayson: These books were great and totally on par with the rest of the series. Wonderfully flawed characters that are thrown into situations that make them do things completely out of character. I loved them.

Infuriating (Elite protection services book 4) by Onley James: A great series that I have been reading bits by bits. Excellent characters and great storyline. Reading this one made me want to reread them all. It was hot, snarky, loving. All the good things with added suspense and heartbreaking backstories.

That’s it for this month. Wishing you all a great week. I’ll try to be on time next week :-)
